A fractured vertebra, repaired from within.
Since 2015, Borsgroup Medikal has supplied physicians and hospitals across Türkiye with medical products for spine surgery and interventional pain treatment.
In a compression fracture the vertebral body cracks and collapses.A cannula is advanced through the pedicle into the vertebral body.Bone cement spreads along the fracture lines and fills the cavity. The cement sets within minutes and the vertebra is stabilised.
The two fields we work in.
Spine surgery
Access, height restoration and cement fill for osteoporotic and metastatic compression fractures.
- LIBRA150 PSIballoon pressureBalloon kyphoplasty set: lifts the collapsed vertebral body with a balloon and prepares the cavity for cement.
- LIBRA BCD KIT11G / 13Gneedle gaugeOne-handed trigger dispenser that delivers cement to the needle in measured doses.
- MIXMAX60% ZrO₂radiopaque contentMixes PMMA bone cement under vacuum into a dense, bubble-free consistency.
- BLUEPECKER PLUSØ 2.3-3.0cannula diameter, mmCannula and stylet system for delivering cement directly into the vertebral body, percutaneously.
Interventional pain treatment
Reaching the nerve root by catheter, without open surgery, in chronic low back pain, stenosis and disc herniation.
- PENØ 0.8 mmfinest tip (transforaminal)Steerable epidural catheter that reaches the nerve root without open surgery.
- VERA2-waytip steeringBidirectionally steerable neurolysis catheter. Medication can be given without withdrawing the guide wire.
- SPECIOØ 3 mmouter diameterCatheter for diagnosis and treatment with direct fiberoptic view of the epidural space.
- VEELER525 mmtotal lengthEndoscope-compatible, multi-segment steerable neurolysis catheter.
One catheter length from the source of pain.
A compressed nerve root becomes inflamed and the pain radiates from there. A steerable catheter travels through the epidural space and delivers medication to exactly that point.
The nerve root is trapped between two vertebrae, inflamed. The catheter is steered through the epidural space to the target.Medication is delivered directly to the nerve root.Inflammation subsides and the nerve settles.

Bone cement is delivered under imaging into a fractured vertebral body to stabilise it and relieve pain.

Preparation and imaging
The patient lies prone, usually under sedation and local anaesthesia. The fractured level is located on fluoroscopy in AP and lateral views.
Fluoroscopy: AP + lateral

Frequently asked questions
Which products does Borsgroup Medikal supply?
Vertebroplasty and balloon kyphoplasty products for spine surgery (LIBRA, LIBRA BCD KIT, MIXMAX, BLUEPECKER PLUS), and epidural neuroplasty and epiduroscopy catheters for interventional pain treatment (PEN, VERA, SPECIO, VEELER).
What is the difference between vertebroplasty and balloon kyphoplasty?
Both deliver bone cement under imaging into a fractured vertebral body. In balloon kyphoplasty a balloon is first inflated inside the vertebral body to create a controlled cavity, and the cement is delivered into that cavity.
What is the difference between epidural neuroplasty and epiduroscopy?
In epidural neuroplasty the catheter is steered to the nerve root under fluoroscopy and contrast. In epiduroscopy a thin endoscope passed through the catheter gives a direct view of the epidural space while treatment is applied.
Do you provide support during procedures?
